New reference categories
#1
Hello
It is possible / there is any recomendation for using standar reference tables for user own references?
We need to store some data for using it into questionnaires drop-down fields. Values are dinamyc and these tables (AM_CATEGORY_REFERENCE and AM_REFERENCE) can be useful.

Can be problems if new Easyvista releases creates new reference categories?

thanks

You can use references...it is a bit clunky as it's used for a bunch of stuff.
Another option is to create custom tables that you populate with SQL queries. The contents can be used in questionnaires.

As Jack says, AM_CATEGORY_REFERENCE and AM_REFERENCE are intended for internal use.
It's recommanded to create your own table:
- Create a new table in SQL (start with E_)
- Create a new connector and import model
- Create a new parent request and reporting to extract/view the content

Remember that you must have a foreign key with existing table to create the parent request
