Log Files - SMO_MSSQLWarning, SMO_MSSQLException and ASTPluginNTServiceApplication
#1
Greetings,

Does anyone know the significance of the SMO_MSSQLWarning and SMO_MSSQLException log files? Is it typical to have entries in these logs or should this be a rare occasion?

I understand the significance of the ASTPluginNTServiceApplication file but we are seeing errors like the following:

<Server Application="AstPlugin" Action="AST" Name="SQL_ERROR" DateTime="2/19/2020 8:13:45 am" MSecTime="0" LogLevel="Exception" Step="Line"><![CDATA[(160000007) <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><ErrorMessage><BasicMessage><![CDATA[Database unreachable
Communication link failure]]]]><![CDATA[></BasicMessage><LocatedMessage><![CDATA[Database unreachable
Communication link failure]]]]><![CDATA[></LocatedMessage><ErrorCode>160000007</ErrorCode><InternalErrorCode>7</InternalErrorCode><OutPutCategoryErrorCode>11</OutPutCategoryErrorCode><OutPutR_ErrorCode>60000007</OutPutR_ErrorCode><ExceptionCategory Code="60">SQL</ExceptionCategory><ExceptionAction Code="1">Back</ExceptionAction><DateTime>2/19/2020 8:13:45 am</DateTime><DS_Version>2016.1.305.2</DS_Version><SQLDatabase>mssqlserver</SQLDatabase><Platform>x86</Platform>

This seems to happen randomly..curious if we are seeing a network or server related issue versus an application issue.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

1. Open the smoserver.ini file on the application server.
2. Complete the Log_Typevariable = lt_All.
