REST API - Submitted by
#1
Hi all,

I'm trying to send "Submitted_by" field on creating a ticket via REST API, but I don't get it... Submitted_by field is always fulfill with user who authenticates the REST step.

I've tried to edit the Resource REST, adding the following line:
      "submitted_by" : "2029"
where 2029 is the employee_id, but it doesn't work.

Has anybody tried to add new fields in a Creation ticket via REST?

Thank you !

Hello,
Refered to the wiki : "In the HTTP request body, you can only use the JSON fields from table SD_REQUEST below"
https://wiki.easyvista.com/xwiki/bin/vie...nt-request

I didn't try to modified REST API, why do you need to force "submitted" ? Tt's good to have the origin/tool that created the ticket...

Thanks Philippe, I'm agree with you about keeping the submitted_by, but they asked me if it was possible, thank you very much! Wink

No pb, it's important to know the reason/purpose for this request.

Are you doing this inside a workflow?  If so, sorry I didn't check if possible, can't you get the submitted by and update via code?  If not in a workflow, can't you use BR/BP to set afterwards?
