Forcing corporate font for all outgoing emails
#1
Question
Hi all.

I was wondering if someone managed to force the font and size used for all outgoing emails sent from the assistants?
(Old standard assistant and the new one with mail type capability)

At the moment, if not changed by the support agent, emails are sent using a default font and size that end up as Times New Roman 12 in Outlook.

Best regards.

To clarify? by assistants we are talking about the wizards?

Have you edited the screen that is sending the email and updated the message body field to use an alternate font?

Yes, "assistant" means wizard. Sorry, I took the french word without noticing it...

Yes I did, but somehow when a support agent is adding a line to the default text, the system goes back to the default font and the message in Outlook ends up with Arial 10 and Times New Roman 12 in it  Confused

Hello and my apologies for the delay... I just wanted to confirm I understand the issue completely Smile

So you have updated your workflow steps and wizards to all use the font you are looking to use but when emails are send via the wizards the system adds on the tags needed for the TSA to recognize and process responses and it is those tags that seem to throw off the formatting when the email is received?

If that's correct I will look a little more on my system and see if I can offer any suggestions.

Waouh, that's a long sentence  Wink

Not sure I fully understand it.

To sum up:

  1. Designing mail notifications in workflows is not a problem. I can force the font and the size. When sending emails the system will format it the way I want it. Since there is no human interaction possible at this stage, it's all good.
  2. Everything is different when I use the Mail Templates functionality or the HD - Send Mail to Requestor from Action or Request wizard. The content is predesigned with the right formating but as soon as the user modifies something inside, the WYSIWYG system goes nuts and mixes fonts and sizes in the background. You only realize that when you see the output email. Somehow the WYSIWYG system displays the font correctly in the UI during the elaboration of the message, but totally messes up with the formating in the background.

Has any progress been made toward finding a way to change the default font?
